Court sentences killer policeman to death

An Abuja High Court on Monday sentenced a police corporal, Mr. Obanla Julius, to death by hanging for allegedly killing a motorist, Shagari Haruna, at a check-point.
Delivering his judgment, Justice Abubakar Talba held that the prosecution had established a case of culpable homicide against Obanla. Pleas by the defence counsel, Mr. C. N.
