Maduekwe flouts due process, awards N165 million contract during Yar'Adua's illness

More details are emerging about how some members of the late President Musa Ya'ardua's cabinet bypassed due process as he lay on his sick bed, to award contracts worth millions of naira.

One such minister was Ojo Maduekwe who was at the helm of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. He contracted the services of an American lobby firm for a princely one million dollars, but neither him nor his successor in the ministry, Odein Ajumogobia will say exactly what services the firm was hired to provide....read more
